Changing Mail Server Assignments in
Netscape Navigator and Communicator

 

Communicator (version 4 and above)

  1. Start Netscape Communicator
  2. If prompted for a user profile, select your profile and enter your password if necessary
  3. From the main browser window, click on the Edit menu and select Preferences
  4. In the Category section, click the plus sign (+) next to Mail and Groups
  5. Under Mail and Groups, select Mail Servers
  6. Under Incoming Mail Servers, select an entry and then click the Edit button
  7. On the General tab, change the Server Name to pop3.cport.com
  8. Click OK
  9. Under Outgoing Mail Server, change the outgoing mail (SMTP) server value to smtp.cport.com

    Note: DO NOT enter a value for Outgoing mail server user name
  10. Click OK
  11. Repeat steps 3 through 10 for each user profile (requires restart)
